On Friday 25th October 2024 , Vice Lord-Lieutenant Gavin Whitefield CBE DL attended TouchBase Lanarkshire’s first ever Duke of Edinburgh Awards Ceremony .
The event brought together staff from Sense Scotland and TouchBase along with the people they support and their families to celebrate Amy , Rohan and Ryan’s successful achievement of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
In order to achieve this , the trio had to complete four sections : expedition, volunteer, physical and skills , which they did with great enthusiasm .
It was a pleasure to celebrate Amy, Rohan and Ryan’s tremendous and inspiring achievements and to hear from various speakers including Al from the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Awards Coordinator Anne .
Massive congratulations once again to Amy , Rohan and Ryan and hopefully it won’t be too long before we are celebrating their Silver Award – and similar achievements from others supported by TouchBase .
